LONDON FESTIVAL OF ARCHITECTURE & AVR/ANISE GALLERY – POST-WAR CRAFT PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

Jacquelyn Jubert Anise Gallery, Cool, Events, London Festival of Architecture, People, Press

As part of the London Festival of Architecture, AVR/Anise Gallery presents ‘Post-War Craft: How London City Council architects redefined high-rise living.’ Through an exhibition of photography, drawings and plans, we aim to vividly illustrate an iconic era in London architecture –  cataloguing the high-rise social housing development of South London in the two decades following the Second World War. This three-day exhibition coincides with the LFA launch with a late night opening on June 1st from 6 to 8pm.

The London Festival of Architecture is Europe’s biggest annual architecture festival, and returns to the capital from 1-30 June 2017 with hundreds of events exploring ‘memory’. We celebrate London as a global architectural hub, provoke questions about the life of the city, and promote positive change to its public realm.
